The Cove Club redesign is complete
While it's true that The Cove Club isn't as good as it used to be - how could it after losing the oceanfront 17th and 18th holes? - it's still one of the most scenic and well-conditioned courses in the world. I've played The Cove Club for almost two decades, watching it change and evolve. For someone who hasn't played the original version, they wouldn't care that there are at least 5 new holes. Everything here looks like it belongs. The three--hole water-front stretch on the front nine is as epic as ever. Finishing on the fun, nearly drivable 18th hole (the old 16th) with the ocean as a backdrop is still inspiring.
Shadow of its Former Self
This was the first time I have played this course since they removed arguably two of the greatest finishing holes in golf: 17 and 18. While Mr. Nicklaus has publicly praised the latest renovations, it has to be killing him inside that these holes were sacrificed for what? A beach club? More condos? Take a look at old photos and videos of holes 17 and 18. They don’t do them justice of how truly special they really were. To the uninformed of today, they will still have one of the best golf experiences of the lives. To people like me that have fond memories of those holes, that long and uninspiring ride back to the clubhouse will leave them a little hollow inside. It saddened me so much, I felt compelled to write my first review ever.
Over priced for a golf course that is under renovation
The cove course is not worth $350 green fees. Way overpriced.
Stunning golf experience
This was our 4th time playing The Cove Club and we always leave it wanting to come back for more. The staff are very helpful & friendly. The service is over the top at the various comfort stations. The views are picture worthy on every hole. The layout is challenging but fair & the course is in peak condition
Best Course in Cabo
I’ve played all the top 10 best courses in Cabo and Cabo Del Sol Ocean (Cove Club) is the best I’ve played. Impressive property, friendly genuine staff, the conditions of the fairways to the greens are very well maintained. Food stations are nice break every 3 or 4 holes. Best off ALL the views of Ocean on more than half the holes are amazing.
Wow! Just Wow!
Absolutely incredible. What a place! Everything is top notch. Course is beautiful and in great condition. Views are breathtaking. Staff was amazing. Comfort stations are well stocked and have a great selection of food and beverages. Taco bus as awesome. Can’t wait to go back again. It is a must play for any golfers visiting Cabo! Beyond 5 stars
One of the best golf courses Cabo has to offer!
it’s not a course you want to pass on regardless of the price point. Use Golf Now to make the decision that much easier. You won’t be disappointed by this course or it’s staff in any way. Views are second to none, layout is fun and will allow you to keep score and still enjoy your round. Conditions were near perfect, and the comfort stations are out of this world. Resort golf at its finest. Makes my top 10 resort course list and will most likely hold a spot there for quite some time.
Super Fun
After a couple of big storms this golf course was still in perfect condition. The layout is really fun challenging but fair and a lot of interesting holes. Everybody there was super friendly and the amenities were fantastic. They have two comfort stations that are incredibly well-stocked that you can just help yourself to. And the views on the Ocean course or are really nice. I would definitely recommend playing this
Simply awesome
This newly renovated coarse offers nothing but the best. From the first tee box, enjoy free golf swag like single spike divot tools, tees, markers, sun screen and mouth wash in case you went from the bed to the first tee. Fairways cover the coarse like trimmed carpets without a mark. The layout is challenging. Coarse management will help your chances to receive birdies for your efforts. Not every par 4 or 5 requires a driver from the box. Sand traps made from crushed marble are fluffed.
Enjoy the on coarse amenities beginning after hole 4 with an airbus grill awaiting your order of fish tacos, carne asada, or something else that may catch your eye off the menu! Chill in the hammock sipping a cold brew while you take a quick respite from the round and get lost gazing at the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
The staff await you at the turn taking orders at the turn while you ready yourself for a new beginning at the 10 tee box. And if you fancy something to sip on, get ready for the tequila bar after hole 6. If you miss it, don’t worry, you can catch it again heading to the hole 9 tee box. All the food and drinks( alcohol included) are gratis!
Carpe Diem on the Ocean Coarse!
New hole joins the routing at Cabo del Sol
I only got to play nine holes on my latest visit to the Ocean course at Cabo del Sol, but it was enough golf - holes 1-8 finishing up with the par-4 18th hole - to remind me why it's one of my favorite facilities.
The back-to-back par 3s at no. 6 and no. 7 on the beach remain magical.
Change is coming to the world top 100 course. The third par 3 on the beach, no. 17, has been taken out of the routing, replaced by a par 3 further inland. More news will be announced in 2019, so stay tuned. It will be interesting to see what the future holds.
Stellar ocean golf
There's a whole lot going on in Cabo's hotel and golf scene but it's safe to say that Cabo Del Sol's Ocean Course remains the top draw for public play. The Nicklaus design features back-to-back beachfront par 3s on the front nine and a closing stretch on the back along the beach as well. The inland holes are pretty doggone good too.
The experience includes free tacos at the turn and also a margarita at the end of the round. Peak season green fees for the Ocean are $375, certainly one of the more expensive experiences in resort golf, but Cabo is a pricy destination and the conditions, service and layout certainly deliver.
I had a little hiccup with the shuttle service to my tee time. Leave enough time to get there, or just do like I did for my next tee time and walk to the club from the Sheraton. 10 mins.

Perfect Condition
I played Cabo del Sol ocean course on my last trip to Cabo. The course was in perfect condition, the staff was very helpful, and I couldn't have asked for a better
experience.
It was a fun course to play...that is if you hit - um straight.
I'll be back on the next trip.
Great course but rude starter tainted the experience
I brought my dad to Cabo from the states for a special weekend of golf. I was most excited to show him the Cabo Del Sol ocean course as it looked stunning. We had a 12:20 tee time (the last tee time before the twilight rate started). We arrived early and after warming up I was told by the club house that because we had paid the morning rate and the course was open we could start our round anytime we wanted. We pulled up to the first tee and couldn't find the starter. Just as we were teeing off he arrived and in a rude fashion told us to stop since our tee time wasn't till later. As I tried to explain what the club house told me he kept rudely interrupting and wouldn't listen insisting "I am in charge and I decide who tees off when". His tone was aggressive and condescending. We reversed back to the putting green and as we continue our putting practice he shows up to apologize since there had been a "misunderstanding" that he had now cleared up by talking to the pro shop. This soured the whole round right from the start. I'm glad he apologized but this doesn't excuse his rude and aggressive behavior . I think he assumed that we were lying and that we were trying to sneak on to play at a more expensive time then we had paid-wouldn't listen to the information I was trying to provide. Not the kind of service I would expect from an otherwise top notch facility. The golf was great but the overall experience left a bad taste in the mouth
A Cabo must-play
The course was exactly as billed. Beautifully manicured, awesome views, greens were wonderfully true. Rest assured, bring your ""a" game as this course is difficult if not played smart. We played with 24 guys from our club, and everything went off without a hitch. Player and club transportation, tee time management, pro shop staff....everything was excellant!
Addictive!
Ocean course is a beautiful experience that I cannot wait to go back and playing again.
The clubhouse and property is amazing. It feels like everything there is absolutely perfect.
Play twilight and save some money, and less heat!
A must
